Ryo was walking along the hallway, whistling his favourite song while on his way to the KAT-TUN dressing room for his daily, ehem, check up on his princess. When he walked into the room, Ueda was already there. He was sitting on the couch and seemed to be talking to Kame.

“Oi, fish lips, did you do anything to embarrass yourself today? Did you dance horribly again today? Or did you finally fall on your face today?” He insulted, as usual. Ueda just rolled his eyes and continued talking to Kame. Ryo felt irritated that Ueda did not respond to his words but what unnerved him more was the smirk Kame sported on his face, directed towards him.

Did he know something? Ryo asked himself. Just then, the rest of KAT-TUN walked into the room.

“Ryo-chan, did you come to see me? Did you? Did you?” Jin said, flinging his hand on Ryo’s shoulder.

“No, I came to retrieve our leader back, only he was not here when he said he wanted to come here to see you. Now, where is he?” Ryo asked Jin.

“Oh, Pi already went back to your dressing room. We went out just now for fresh air, you know.”

“Well then, I must be going since our rehearsal will start soon. Not unlike some people, we can’t waste our time doing nothing.” Ryo said while heading towards the door.

“Hey Ryo, you’re still our guess for today’s KAT-TUN radio show, right?” Jin asked before Ryo went out of the door.

“Yes, my manager has informed me about it,” came the answer from the NEWS member.

Somehow, between his busy schedule and before the KAT-TUN radio show, Ryo managed to get his princess alone with him, in the same store room that was labelled ‘hunted’ by the juniors.

“Hime, what was that all about?” He asked between kisses.

“What?” Ueda asked back, puzzled with the question.

“You know, you didn’t retort back any of my insults today. What if they found out about us?” Ryo said while he nuzzled around Ueda’s neckline. Ueda just sighed in reply.

“We don’t have to act in front of Kame. He already knew about us.”

“WHAT!!? But how… When??” Ryo stuttered.

“Apparently, he heard us two days ago when we were in here. You know how sharp his hearing is, and since he knows both of us, it’s easy for him to recognize our voices.” The boxer explained. “But don’t worry, he promised not to tell anyone until you’re ready.” 

“So that’s why he smirked at me earlier. I knew he knew something. Eh, what do you meant when I’m ready? Why not when we’re ready?”

“I am ready, Ryo. I’m just waiting for you to announce to them about our relationship. Come on Ryo, let’s get out of here. You have an interview after this, remember? We can continue this later.” There was no mistaking the sad tone in Ueda’s voice. He really wanted their relationship to be acknowledged by the others. Ryo was lost on what to do, so he just said the first thing that came to his mind.

“Are you going to listen to the interview?”

“Yes.” That was Ueda’s short answer.

Ryo was in front of Ueda’s apartment, trying to calm Ueda down and explain why he said what he said on KAT-TUN style earlier. Ueda looked angry, no, mad and ready to explode at Ryo. 

"But Hime… I just don’t want to leak our secret… If I said your name then I can’t stop mumbling about you… How am I supposed to handle that??" Ryo tried to reason with the older man.

"Well, you can handle sarcasm very well... don’t you?" Ueda countered. “Well, whatever it is, I don’t want to see you tonight. Good night.” Then, Ueda slammed his door right on his boyfriend’s face. Ryo immediately looked crestfallen; I did it this time... Hime sure is angry at me right now. With one last look at Ueda’s door, the black haired man went back to his apartment.

When he stepped into KAT-TUN’s dressing room, the first thing that Ueda noticed were a bouquet of his favourite flowers and a box of his favourite chocolates on top of his makeup desk. He went over to find out the identity of the sender.

“Waaah Uebo, you have a secret admirer.” He heard Koki exclaimed behind him. When he turned around, he saw Koki, Nakamaru and Taguchi stepping into the room.

“Who is it from?” Nakamaru asked. The U of KAT-TUN just shook his head. “I don’t know. I haven’t read the card yet.”

“Waah… Chocolate! Can I have some, Tat-chan?” Jin said, skipping towards Ueda with Kame and Yamapi trailing behind him. 

That question earned him a smack on his head from Kame.”That’s not for you, baka. That’s for Tat-chan.”

“Owww… Kame, why do you have to be so violent? And I was just asking Tat-chan if he could share it with me.” Jin pouted. Yamapi just laughed at his best friend’s misfortune.  While they were having the conversation, Ueda took a look inside the card stuck to the flower bouquet.

                                Meet me at the rooftop after you read this card. I’ll be waiting.

The card did not have any signature on it but Ueda knew who it was from. Without wasting anymore time, he went out, forgetting to retrieve the card from the bouquet.

All conversation stopped when they realized Ueda was not with them anymore. Taguchi picked the card up and read it aloud. “Well, I want to know who Uebo’s secret admirer is. Why don’t we go and spy on them?” Koki said, earning nods of agreement from Nakamaru and Jin. Taguchi looked sceptical, Kame tried to stop them while Yamapi just shrugged. Finally giving up since no one was going to listen to him, Kame just followed his friends and maybe try to restrain them from making any scene.

“You’re here. Am I forgiven?” Ryo murmured into Ueda’s ear, sending shivers down the older man’s spine. Ryo had his hand wrapped tightly around Ueda’s waist.

“That depends on what your answer will be for my question.” Ueda answered. Ryo just nodded while trailing kisses on his boyfriend’s neck. Ueda groaned, how am I supposed to concentrate if he keeps doing that?

“Who exactly do you like in KAT-TUN?” Ueda asked before moaning when the other kissed a sensitive spot behind his earlobe.

“Like I said yesterday, I like Jin. But, the only person that I love in KAT-TUN is you. Don’t doubt me, Hime, for all I feel for you is true. I love you and I can’t live without you.” When he said that, Ryo was already facing Ueda and looked deep into Ueda’s eyes. He wanted his boyfriend to see that he was sincere with his words.

Ueda just sighed. It’s not that he didn’t believe Ryo, he did, but he was tired with keeping their relationship a secret. He wanted people to know about their relationship, that he now belonged to Ryo and vice versa. He wanted people to know that he was the happiest man alive because he had Ryo by his side.

“I never doubted your love for me, Ryo. But sometimes, I’m tired of this entire secret. When are we going to tell the others about us? I want to share my happiness with my friends. I want them to know that I belong to you now, only you. And I want them to know that you make my life more meaningful, you make me love my life even more.”

Ryo was leaning close to Ueda now, forehead to forehead, lips to lips. He had been thinking all night, last night. He decided that he didn’t care if the secret was exposed now. He just wanted to be with Ueda. His heart hurt when Ueda slammed the door on his face yesterday.

“I don’t care anymore, Hime. You can tell them all about us. I just don’t want you to slam your door on me again. It hurts.” Ryo said. Ueda immediately jerked his head; his right hand went to Ryo’s face to inspect for injury.

“Are you injured anywhere, Ryo? I’m sorry. I was just mad at you yesterday and I needed time to cool off.”

“It’s not there.” Ryo took Ueda’s hand and put it on his heart. “It’s here. It hurts the most here.”

“Oh, I’m sorry love. I promise I’ll make it up to you. Come to my apartment tonight, I’ll cook something special for you. And then…” Ueda pulled Ryo’s head nearer and then whispered something to Ryo. Ryo’s face instantly lit up.

“Really? You promise?” Ueda just nodded in response, happy that he made his love cheery again. Then, he leaned closer for a kiss. At the corner of his eyes, he saw the rest of KAT-TUN and Yamapi at the door, spying on them. But he didn’t care anymore. The secret was out in the open now. After that, he saw Kame shooing away all of them, before winking to him and left. Then, he closed his eyes to enjoy the kiss.
